From Brindisi
Salento Airport in Brindisi is the most convenient option: it's just 35 km from Lecce. From the airport, you can take a direct bus to Lecce train station, or a taxi to Brindisi train station and then take a regional train (about a 30-minute journey).
The most convenient option is to rent a car; it takes about 30 minutes to reach Lecce.

By train: Lecce is the terminus of the Adriatic railway line, so trains arrive directly in the city center. Lecce station is just a few minutes' walk from the historic center. There are direct connections from Milan, Rome, Bologna, and Naples with Frecciargento and InterCity trains, or regional trains from Bari and Brindisi for those arriving by plane. Once you disembark the train, the historic center is a 10-minute walk or a short taxi ride away.
